June 1st, 2008 - Project Jump Start A Heart
In honor of the 1st National Cardiopulminary Resuscitation (CPR & AED) Awareness Week, Take It To Heart organized a mass CPR training event held at the Carousel Pavilion on City Island, Harrisburg, PA. About 100 people were trained, including several youth, in CPR & AED use. The event was hosted by Take It To Heart, Nicholas Ryan Over Foundation, The Janna April Becker Memorial Fund, South Central EMS, Harrisburg Senators, Balloons & More, Starbucks Coffee Conpany, Mix 106.7 FM Radio and Red Robin Restaurant. This was a Parent Heart Watch event assisted by Youth Heart Watch and the American Heart Association. CPR training was facilitated by Joseph Russell, Executive Director of CPR/AED Public Awareness & Training Network. Valerie Pritchett of ABC27 New emceed the event.

May 18th, 2008 - Sixth Annual Nicholas Ryan Over Foundation Dinner & Silent Auction
Sixth Annual Nicholas Ryan Over Foundation Dinner & Silent Auction was held at the Elks in Carlisle, PA. Guest speaker was Rebecca (Becky) Martin who spoke on living with ARVD (arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia). All proceeds from the fundraiser go towards the South Central Pennsylvania Heart Safe Program established under the NRO Foundation.

April 12th & 19th, 2008
Skip Over trained 14 Board Members/Staff at the Carlisle Family Center Moose Lodge #761. All the employees were trained as well as some of the Moose Officers and WOTM Officers and received their certification in AED & CPR training. We commend them for making their Lodge "heart safe"!





January 3rd, 2008
NRO Foundation provided a presentation on the importance of AEDs to the Northern Lebanon School Board and Tim Yeakle of Take It To Heart provided a PowerPoint presentation on sudden cardiac arrest in our youth. NRO Foundation donated a Cardiac Science AED to Northern Lebanon School.
